A really fun D-19 with a gorgeous voice that delivers warm, rich tones. A rare model this in excellent conditions, with a perfect neck and frets ready to play. Dark-stained spruce soundboard. Solid mahogany back & sides. Very comfortable mahogany neck (C-shape) low action no buzz. The guitar sounds great. Very good intonation, 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Dreadnought size body with multi-layer top & back binding. Rosewood bridge with black end-pins. Black pickguard & multi-ring rosette. Comes with original Martin Case. Weighs 4 lbs 6.0 oz
Production of the Martin D-19 began in 1976 and ended in 1988. The Martin D-19 was essentially a D-18 but with a dark brown stained top - from a distance it looks like a mahogany top but it's actually spruce. The other differences between the D-18 and D-19 were that the D-19 had a style 28 rosette, style 21 top purfling and an additional white/black purfling on the back.
