The Year Series ‘79 is a traditionally shaped six string acoustic (not available as a 12 string). The ‘79 was the only acoustic by Daion offered in black. Interesting features are the gold detail around the rosette, binding, back spine and heel, as well as the all brass hardware (tuners, nut, fret markers, and bridge). Also notable are the brass ring fret markers that were also used in the Headhunter H-555 model (as well as early Washburn Wing and Stage Series guitars as they were also produced in the same Yamaki factory). Though early Japanese catalogs show a Wine Red (WR) option (which we have not seen), catalogs from the United States only show Brown (BR) and Black (B) as available.
