Made from PIRETTI ENRICO Luthier in the City of Cremona Italy and 1st Prize International Competition of Cremona in 1949. This custom-made guitar was built in 1957 and is exceptional in every respect. The most striking feature of this steelstring is the double cutaway.
Enrico Piretti was an Italian violin maker, one of the most important of the 1950s and 1980s.(Bologna, 1911 – 1993) had his laboratory in Rastignano, just outside Bologna Italy. His classical guitars and violins have a good international reputation for their sound qualities and their aesthetic care. Piretti attended the Italian School of Violin Making, whose director was the famous violin maker Luigi Mozzani, already the creator of the famous flat-bottomed mandolin called padellino. In 1949 Piretti won the “International Violin Making Competition of Cremona”, and obtained other important awards during his career. In the 1960s he devoted himself to the creation of electro-acoustic archtop guitars. Alongside the contemporary Davoli and Binson valve amplifiers, they were instruments of great value
